Wythe County is prepared for industries on the move. The county has a superior highway system. Interstates 77 and 81 intersect here and U.S. Routes 11, 21 and 52 also serve the county and its industry.
Twelve trucking companies provide interstate and intrastate service to industry in Wythe County. Nine of them have terminals here. "Transportation here is excellent. It enables us to respond quickly to our customers' needs, " said a manager at a major manufacturing plant in the country.
